#hissgate: await a software patch, probably

Lots of people hissing about how iPhone 7 devices sometimes make a hissing sound when you use them. I’ve been thinking about it. Think about it like the fan whirring sound you get when your Mac is working hard.

How big a situation is this? Think about if you have been impacted. Think who has made these claims. What apps where they running? I’m relatively certain Apple can mitigate this with a software patch.

I will observe that it does seem predictably convenient that the usual suspects in the usual places are banging on about hissgate while doing their best not to mention the life threatening problems faces by another smartphone manufacturer. (You know who you are…).

I argue that you believe what you choose to believe, and if you think this hissgate thing is anything other than a blip then you’re “reading it wrong”…
