Regulators confirm new Macs are on the way…

Xcode on Intel Macs
The latest twist in the Apple story is revealed on news that the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database (as spotted by Consomac) has once again let slip that new Macs are on their way – and there could be as many as eight of them.
Hold your horses
No one realistically anticipates eight Macs, but we do know that all of these devices are listed as running macOS 11 Big Sur, according to the filing. The filing also reveals both desktop and notebook Macs, which means it is likely we are looking at a selection of different Macs differentiated by size and internal processor, as Apple Silicon desktops are not expected at this time.
If that’s the case, then we may be looking at both Intel and Apple Silicon-based MacBooks and MacBook Pros, which is broadly in line with predictions the company will introduce new models of both.
We are also likely looking at new Intel-based models of some desktops, though it’s hard to predict which. One of the new Macs is likely to be the Mac mini, I suspect, given that one of the model numbers revealed (A2330) is that of the current mini.
No one is really expecting news on new Macs today, but this does rather suggest the company has a product blitz planned for its November special event.
