Apple showcased this game at the iPhone 12 launch. (It’s available now)
With the new iPhone 12 family scheduled to begin arriving with people October 23, the news is that those lucky few to receive them will be able to put the device through its paces following the release of one of the games Apple used to demonstrate the power of the smartphone.
War Robots Remastered
Pixonic has now launched War Robots Remastered worldwide on iOS and Android. The game was used at the iPhone launch as a demonstration of the power of the device.
The main enhancements for this iteration of the game are visual. From the dynamic glare on robot hulls, to the raging exhaust of jet thrusters, and even the blast particles flying through the air, so many textures, effects, and UI elements have been upgraded.
The developers employed cutting-edge technologies to bring the new, highly-detailed graphics and technical upgrades to life even on low-performance devices.
Thanks to careful optimization, memory and battery resources are used sparingly to reduce the demands on players’ hardware – and this really comes into its own on iPhone 12.
The developers claim the game can deliver a smooth performance of 60 frames per second and tell us it will soon feature five graphics settings, with Minimal and Performance settings available right now, and High, Balanced, and Ultra settings launching in 2021. “Selective downloads are also planned at a later date, allowing players to install high-resolution textures and models separately to optimize storage space,” the said.
