Apple has at long last improved its gift card experience

That thing where a friend or relative gives you a $100 iTunes gift card which you can’t use to purchase the new Apple Pencil you actually need because the latter requires you to use an Apple Store card, which no one really ever heard of? You don’t need to endure this any more.
Apple has done something about accountancy
Apple has at last engaged with the need to improve digital gift customer experiences with the soft launch of what it calls its Apple Gift Card, which lets customers purchase both hardware and services using one card.
This card (both physical and digital) combines the Apple Store card with the iTunes & App Store Card so you can purchase both hardware in stores and software/services in App Stores using just one single card. It would be genius if it hadn’t taken so long.
It is odd that while every Apple store now has a couple of trees, the company didn’t dream this step up before.
Because even the tree pots were designed by Apple
But I digress.
The new Apple Gift Card makes it easy to send Apple money to Apple people. You can purchase it and send it physically by mail or digitally using email.
It’s kind of Apple catching up with how every other gift card works, and I guess the reasons it took so long to arrive are probably more about internal accounting than anything that makes sense to the crazy ones.

You can purchase all Apple services and subscriptions, purchase movies and music, books, software and Apple hardware with one of these cards. And you’ll never need to get annoyed when you try to convince an Apple Retail employee to let you put your $100 iTunes voucher toward the purchase of an iPad mini again.
