Jamf brings in new CFO, CISO, and global channels VP
On the eve of its popular JNUC event, leading Apple in the enterprise device management and security services provider, Jamf, has quietly announced new corporate hires, appointing Andrew Smeaton as chief information security officer (CISO) and Marc Botham as global vice president of channels and alliances. This follows the earlier appointment of David Rudow to Chief Financial Officer.
David Rudow, CFO
Rudow will succeed Jamf’s current CFO, Ian Goodkind, who is departing to pursue other opportunities. “I want to thank Ian Goodkind for everything he has done for Jamf over the last five years and wish him the best of his future endeavors,” said John Strosahl, CEO, Jamf.
Rudow joins Jamf from Cover Genius, a global embedded Insurtech company. Prior to that, he served as CFO at Unite Us and nCino. He has also held senior positions over 18-years at various investment banking and financial services firms, including Piper Jaffray, J.P. Morgan, and Thrivent Asset Management.
“Jamf has an exceptional culture and is the market leader in helping organizations manage and secure their Apple devices for work. I look forward to contributing to their mission of helping organizations succeed with Apple.”
Andrew Smeaton, CISO
Former Afiniti CISO with stints at DataRobot, MIB Group, The Saudi Investment Bank, and elsewhere, Smeaton brings over 25 years of global information security experience, navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. In his new role he will focus on the company’s security strategy.
He has experience in security risk management, program development, regulatory compliance, and cloud security, complemented by a strong IT background and numerous certifications, including CISSP, CISA, and CISM.
“The dependence on Apple devices in the enterprise is only increasing, and you can bet adversaries won’t pass up the opportunity to strike while the iron’s hot,” said Smeaton. “I’m looking forward to amplifying security buyers’ awareness of Jamf and working with our extremely talented Threat Labs team to uncover, defend, and protect customers against the threats of tomorrow.”
Marc Botham, Global VP Channels and Alliances
Recognized as CRN’s 2022 Channel Chief of the Year, Botham also brings over 25 years of experience, most recently as the Head of the EMEA Channel of Docusign. He’ll take charge of developing and implementing global partner strategies, focusing on growth and partnership.
“Jamf is on the cusp of some incredible growth in the channel, and I’m honored to be joining at such an exciting time in Jamf’s channel journey,” he said.
