How far we are from gender equality in one picture from corporate America

Apple’s senior executives will likely be celebrating International Women’s Day today.

It’s International Women’s Day.

To celebrate, I thought I’d share this picture of Apple’s senior leadership team page. It’s now almost 19 percent female. It also seems primarily pale.

Here’s Apple CEO, Tim Cook on the topic of International Women’s Day.

Perhaps it is time to promote some more of these inspiring women?

PS: I wrote this piece, Technology is Sexist, back in 2013. Five years on and we have Face ID and a new HQ, but not much improvement in gender balance across the top of the team.
