Apple quietly begins Today at Apple online tuition
Apple’s Today at Apple sessions across its retail stores were pretty popular, before COVID-19 closed them down – so the company has quietly begun offering them online.
Three sessions you can watch at home
The company has published three short Today at Apple sessions online, under the name ‘Today at Apple at home’.
It hasn’t told us if it plans to offer more, though the strap line for the trio of short courses is promising, saying: “Join Creative Pros from Apple Store locations all over the world for quick and fun projects they put together in their homes, so you can get creative in yours.”
These words strongly suggest more such sessions may be in the pipeline.
It’s certainly reasonable to think that the company will be focusing efforts on sprucing up its online engagement and learning tools as it puts together the infrastructure for WWDC online this year.
What sessions are available?
The three available sessions include:
Draw playful portraits with iPad
“Harriet from Apple Regent Street in London shows you how to add doodles, color, and your own handwriting to turn a quick photo into a unique portrait. (5.05).”
Capture striking photography with iPhone
“Follow along with Cameron from Apple Orchard Road in Singapore to learn angles and edits that will help you capture artful photos featuring your home. (3.22).”
Shoot photos full of personality with iPhone
“Join Adrian from Apple Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica as he shows you how to dig into the Camera app on iPhone to capture your personality in self-portraits. (3.49).”
You can watch all three sessions here.
