A useful gadget for Mac and iPad road warriors
I’m quite taken by High Six, a useful-seeming little gadget that’s appeared on Kickstarter. It’s a useful compact keychain charging cable for iPhones, Macs, iPads and all Lightning and USB devices.
Six connections and a bottle opener
Designers at German company Vonmählen have come up with a highly compact solution that offers all this interconnect, and adds a bottle opener, too. I think it may be a useful addition to any MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or iPad user’s travel bag.
It offers a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB- A adapter, and 2 in 1 micro -USB/ lightning adapter, all within a stainless-steel casing just 6.1cm long when enclosed. The 16.5g gadget handles power deliver at up to 60-watts and also accommodates data transfer.
The leads are designed to fit comfortably inside the stainless steel case. The cable also has two on board magnets designed to hold it together inside the case and also acting as a safe place to store the adapters until you need them.
The High Six is available in black, all black, silver, and rose gold now on Kickstarter until November 25 2021, and costs c.€21/$24.50/£18. The product isn’t expected to ship until January 2022.
