Apple brings 2FA code generator to iCloud on Windows
Apple has upgraded its iCloud Keychain password manager for Windows with a built-in 2FA code generator, rolling the feature out across the last couple of weeks.
Something for the multi-platform people
We had been expecting this improvement which integrates tightly with Apple (and others) focus on tightening up system security in these challenging times. Apple last year introduced support for iCloud passwords on PCs in Windows and Microsoft’s Edge.
iCloud for Windows has been available for years, the addition of a 2FA code generator makes it even easier for Windows users who also use Apple systems to get stronger security. Because it’s an iCloud app, any changes made automatically sync across all your signed in devices. It means Windows users can rely on iCloud Passwords utility far more.
