Apple receives 6 News & Documentary Emmy Award nominations
Apple has been nominated six times for news and documentaries by the Emmy Awards, for titles that include “The Line,” “Fathom,” “9/11: Inside the President’s War Room” and “Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson”
Moving into mainstream?
Since the TV+ service launched three years ago, the company’s shows have so far earned 250 wins and 1,121 award nominations across various critic’s festivals, including this year’s Oscar Best Picture winner “CODA”.
The News & Documentary Emmy Awards are presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in recognition of excellence in American national news and documentary programming.
The winners of the 43rd Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards will be unveiled at ceremonies on September 28 and 29, 2022.

It took nominations in the following categories:
- Best Documentary and Outstanding Investigative Documentary for “The Line”;
- Outstanding Science & Technology Documentary and Outstanding Sound: Documentary for “Fathom”;
- Outstanding Editing: Documentary for the award-winning film “9/11: Inside the President’s War Room”;
- Outstanding Sound: Documentary for the music docuseries “Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson.”
They represent the first time the company has been nominated in this category.
