Watch those deals, I’m sure they are coming
These are just the first deals to see the light, but it is to be anticipated that carriers outside the US will seek to offer deals to help encourage users to upgrade to the new iPhone.
There are many reasons to do so, but here are two:
- All the big companies expect consumer confidence to decline the face of the many challenges economies and the planet itself faces.
- At the same time, as they dig in for the long haul, they recognize that customer loyalty and commitment are important prizes to secure – and what better way to secure this than by offering excellent deals on the world’s most in-demand smartphones?
That’s why I expect carriers everywhere will be or are about to be ready to unveil similarly attractive inducements to upgrade to iPhone 15.
Update: Since writing this, Boost Infinite has got in contact to tell me about its $60/month deal that gets you a new iPhone every year, complete with unlimited talk, text and data. from September 15. So stay watchful, as I’m sure there will be more offers like this.
Don’t get locked in, but do shop around
This is good news for Apple, or course, but carriers know they need to do this to protect themselves against customer churn. As they dig in for the long haul they will seek out ways to hook consumers into new contracts, and Apple will want to help them achieve that. So there’s plenty of negotiation taking place right now. So keep your eyes open as, if I’m right, there should be a flood of similarly excellent iPhone 15 sales deals hitting carriers near you now the product has been announced.
These aren’t altruistic, of course. Carriers know iPhone users segue toward being high value users, and if their business faces challenges they’ll be fighting to retain the high value users they have today, while battling to take some of that group away from competitors.
That’s good news for consumers seeking a good deal, of course, but this is also good news for Apple as it seeks to secure the market position of iPhone. Please let me know if any good deals cross your desk and add them to the comments below.

When do you think the iPhone 14 pro offers will be available?
I read the Att trade in requirements. It turns out you need to add a line to your service and agree to throttle your data in busy times.
