I’m looking forward to my next iBook
The iBook was always a revolutionary product.
Shortly after iMac redefined what we expect from the PC, iBook (with its first to market built-in-Wi-Fi) redefined what we expect from mobile devices. That’s why they’re still worth a bit of money.
Mac + ARM + Xcode on iOS =
I think it equals iBook.
This will be the most flexible Mac you’ve ever seen that also happens to be the most powerful mobile device you can get. You’ll use it everywhere. It will surface surfaces Surface can’t surface. It will be as flexible as you want a mobile device to be, and as powerful as an entry-level Mac.
For a while…
One day it will be an iBook Pro, given that’s typically how Apple builds out these things.
Surely I’m not alone in seeing this coming?
Anyway.
I’ll check back on this set of words in a few month’s time to see if this is more or less what happens.
