Ken Segall slams ‘vapid’ ‘Apple must’ media (and he’s right)
OK when even the old creative lead of TBWA/Chiat/Day thinks there’s something wrong with Apple reporting, you know it’s not just me. So here’s the skinny from Ken Segall:
“I know it can be difficult to see vapid opinions like Jim’s presented as legitimate news. But since you can’t change Jim’s outlook, it might help if you change yours. Just remember, this isn’t journalism. It’s a badly performed mash-up of news and opinion.”
He’s talking about some nonsense posing as information from Business Insider (who else) and refuting the ill thought out prejudice and opinion we see so much these days, as the press chases traffic and Google makes the press. The report Segall’s critiquing is kind of up there with this.
“Vapid opinions”.
Lovely.
