MacStadium brings enterprise-grade remote desktops for Mac
MacStadium seized on Jamf’s hugely important JNUC event to announce the debut of Orka Workspace, a solution to enable high-performance, secure desktop access to cloud-hosted macOS environments at any time, from anywhere and on any device.
Now your Mac is in the cloud, what next?
It’s the first time we’ve had such a solution on the Mac, the company claims, and is a continuation of a mission it has been on for some time.
Orka Workspace it the only virtual desktop cloud solution available and is based on industry-leading Mac virtualization technology, the company claimed. Its advantages include enabling secure, remote access to a Mac desktop anytime, anywhere, from any device.
The problem it solves is simple. Employers want to be able to offer employees secure yet flexible ways to access secure work computing environments from anywhere, especially now 58 percent of American workers work remotely at least one day a week. Until now, no such option existed in the Mac ecosystem.

Orka Workspace is for the distributed enterprise
“We are excited to reveal the full advantages of MacStadium’s Orka Workspace platform at JNUC 2022 — the largest gathering of Apple enthusiasts in the world,” said Chris Chapman, MacStadium’s senior vice president and chief technology officer.
“Orka Workspace’s introduction is nothing short of a paradigm shift for professionals who work in Mac environments, giving organizations the ability to easily and securely manage user workspaces wherever they may be, and on any device.”
There’s a lot of reasons to be interested in this solution.
It uniquely solves Mac virtualization complexities and IT teams’ Mac-virtual secure desktop needs. It also exploits MacStadium’s Orka Platform to provide unmatched macOS virtual-machine provisioning and scalability.
MacStadium Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Chris Chapman and Head of Orka Workspace Ravi Kumar will explain more concerning the new soliution at JNUC 2022 on September 28.
