NAD just joined Apple’s AirPlay 2 club
Apple’s decision to unlock its AirPlay 2 streaming standard by making it available via third-party TV and music equipment makers continues to pay dividends, it seems.
Now premium audio equipment manufacturer, NAD has chosen to support the standard.
NAD makes a software update
NAD customers who own a Classic Series C 658 BluOS Streaming DAC or Masters Series M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier can now download an update for their devices that introduces AirPlay 2 support (BluOS 3.4.20).
Once installed, owners of compatible systems can stream audio, podcasts, audiobooks, movies, games and more via their sound machines.
They can use them to play back movies thanks to AirPlay 2 and an Apple TV (or other device).
One more thing
NAD has also introduced a BluOS 2i MDC module for older systems. This £400 system upgrades older C 368 and C 388 amplifiers with support for AirPlay 2.
