NordPass has introduced PassKey support for iOS 17, a step forward for the tech that means its customers can use passkeys on mobile Apple devices, not just Macs.

“We aim for our customers to experience the best of passkeys from day one of any new technological upgrades delivered in the market. With the new release by Apple, we expanded our offering of passkey-related functionalities, which speeds up the transition from passwords to modern methods of online authentication,” said Sorin Manole, product strategist at NordPass.
Support for PassKeys is being rolled out slowly to all NordPass users during the week.
Once installed, you’ll be able to create, store,, manage, access, and share these keys using the desktop app, iPhones and iPads. For cross platform users, NordPass says it will introduced support for PassKeys on Android devices once Google updates its operating system.
What is a PassKey?
A passkey is a pair of related keys: one public, another private. Once a user chooses to login with passkeys to any website or app that supports them, their device generates a private key, which is then automatically stored.
Support for PassKeys in a cross-platform password manager has advantages because it makes these keys usable by different devices and operating systems. Additionally, some password managers, including NordPass, allow passkey sharing.
