Otter.ai offers up free use of great teams software
An app that I use so often in my work is offering access to its services for two months for free to help support employees working remotely or from home during the pandemic.
Otter for Teams
Otter.ai is offering two months free service of its enterprise offering, Otter for Teams, to support employees working remotely or from home. Up to 10 people per company can sign up for Otter for Teams by May 1, 2020.
Otter is a powerful solution that uses AI analysis and voice transcription to generate rich searchable notes for business meetings, presentations and distance learning.
The app works on web and mobile and can be used alongside most video collaboration systems including Zoom. I use it to quickly transcribe meetings and interviews.
Smart meeting tools
The solution generates smart notes that sync audio, text and images. Users can search, play, edit, organize, and share meeting notes from any device via the Otter app.
Otter.ai built its own proprietary stack, including automated speech recognition, speaker separation (diarization) and identification, word synchronization, and summarization.
“As small businesses and universities across the country ask employees to ‘shelter in place,’ or continue to work while in quarantine, we’re pleased to make Otter for Teams, our business offering, available for free to support employees working remotely,” said Sam Liang, CEO and co-founder of Otter.ai.
“Otter for Teams is a highly accurate note taking and collaboration tool that increases meeting productivity, and we’re happy to share this to help folks through this new working environment.”
