SANDMARC brings light to iPhoneographers with Prolight range
iPhoneographers will want to learn about a new lighting system to help take better photos with an iPhone, the Prolight collection from SANDMARC.
Shine a light to get better photos
The company already has a good reputation for its range of clip on lenses for iPhones, which enable telephoto, optical zoom and other photography effects.
The Prolight Collection takes it higher.
These products provide compact, color accurate RGB and Bi-Color lighting to help you get even better photos. Two are available, the Prolight RGB and Prolight Bi-Color. You’ll find them on the company website when they are available, and in future on the company’s Amazon Store. (That was an affiliate link designed to ease my COVID-19-induced fiscal desperation).
The Prolight RGB for color accuracy
The Prolight RGB delivers a color rendering index (CRI) of 96+ and color temperatures ranging from 1,000-10,000K, which means it can help your iPhone capture much more accurate colors when taking a shot.
It provides over 16 million hues of light, giving a versatile spectrum of colors for photography and filmmaking. The pocketable size makes it convenient to place the Prolight in any location, allowing for dynamic indoor and outdoor shots for portrait photography, cinematic storytelling and more.
While Prolight Bi-Color gives vivid tones
The Prolight Bi-Color provides a color temperature of 3,000-6,500K with a CRI of 95+, giving vivid warm-to-cool tones.
The light delivers a brightness power of 1,500 Lux. It provides warm and cool temperature tones and anything in between – perfect as a key light or fill light.
How do these things connect?
So how do you hold these lights? SANDMARC says the lights are compatible with the company’s existing products for this, the SANDMARC Pole – Film Edition and Film Rig.
The SANDMARC Pole is great for single light use and capturing variety of angles while the Film Rig enables you to mount both lights in one setup. The Film Rig also allows to use a GoPro or any compact camera in addition to the iPhone.
