This Unique iPhone Product Should be a Travel Essential
I usually need to recharge my iPhone every day. When I do, I usually plug it into a wall socket using an adaptor and the cable that was supplied, but I think I might begin using this handy product from MEEM as part of my backup routine.
MEEM is a premium backup cable designed for iOS and Android that does two things: it recharges your device and automatically stores photos, videos, contacts and more to the cable itself every time you charge.
How it works
When you charge your iPhone, MEEM will automatically backup your data to its built in SSD drive.
You control the process using an app, where you can define what it is you want to backup and also see when each of your (up to three) devices was last backed up. The solution is password protected so you don’t need to feel that your data is at (too much) risk if you leave your cable in a public place.
I use iCloud to backup my iPhone and, touch wood, it hasn’t failed me yet – but I really like this solution as I truly believe you can’t have enough archiving, particularly of your images. I certainly think it should be in every travel bag, as you never know when your memories may slip away if your phone is lost or stolen.
The cable is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB for iOS and 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB for Android. Take a look for yourself here.
