Travellers should look at Mophie’s powerstation hub
Another day, another iPhone-related power product, this time mophie’s $99 all-new powerstation hub, a portable battery with a difference.
Why is this product good?
I like the product because it provides a really good balance of flexibility and portability.
Not only is it a powerful 6,100mAh battery pack, but it’s also a great in-room hub when you travel, thanks to its built-in AC power prongs.
These mean you can use the device as a wall outlet hub, as well as on-the-go.
You can plug in three different devices simultaneously using the three built-in USB ports, including one USB-C port for iPads and Mac. It also carries a Qi-enabled wireless charging surface, so you can power up your Apple Watch, AirPods or recent iPhones.

The fact you can plug the device into any power socket and immediately charge up to four devices makes this a useful addition to any business or leisure travel bag.
Robert Johnson, general manager for mophie said in a press release: “The days of searching for enough power outlets in your hotel room or running out of juice at the airport are over.”
A little more about the ports
The device offers the following ports:
- Two USB-A ports, consisting of a Quick Charge 3.0 15-Watt port and a 5-Watt port.
- One USB-C PD port offering 18-Watt I/O.
- One Qi-enabled 5-Watt wireless power surface.
The product’s dimensions are 84mm-x-84mm-x-29.5mm, (3.31-x-3.31-x—1.16-inches). It costs around $99.95 and is available now from the company.
